There’s a point in almost every home project when choosing beautiful things starts to feel suspiciously like running another business.
You wanted a home that felt more like you, and somehow you’re now reviewing cabinetry drawings between meetings.
Even if you love interiors, having good taste doesn’t magically create the time to manage everything that comes with them. Most of our clients already have quite enough happening without adding freight logistics to their list of personal interests.
That’s where our Full-Service Design experience comes in.
At Collins & Co. we develop the vision for your home and carry it through everything.
Planning, selections, collaboration, purchasing and installation needed to make it happen.
With your family’s life informing the decisions along the way.
The beginning of a project usually involves a lot more conversation about your daily routines than people expect.
Before we get particularly attached to a dining table, I want to know whether you host twelve people regularly or mostly use the one you have to sort mail, because those are two very different design briefs.
We look at how you move through the house, which rooms you gravitate toward and what your current home makes unnecessarily difficult. Somewhere in the conversation about storage, there’s usually a much more useful detail about where everything actually ends up, and that tells us far more than a request for “more cabinets” ever could.
At our Bear Creek project, considering the home as a whole gave us room to rethink how several spaces were being used. A former bathroom became a home office, an existing gym became a family room, and the laundry room was redesigned to incorporate a mudroom.
Alongside changes to the kitchen and primary bathroom layouts, those decisions helped reshape the house around the family living in it.

We bring a rolodex of resources, from vendors, artisans and custom makers who give us access to furnishings, fabrics and details that help us create something specific to you.
That allows us to look beyond the obvious and introduce pieces with greater character, craftsmanship and longevity. From custom upholstery to original artwork and one-of-a-kind details.
I spend a considerable amount of time imagining spaces that don’t exist yet, but I would never expect a client to approve a substantial investment purely because I can see it in my head.
“Trust me, it’s going to be beautiful” is lovely encouragement and fairly limited documentation.
Our process moves from discovery and strategy into conceptual design and design development.
Where we work through how the vision will actually come together.
Depending on the scope, presentations can include floor plans, cabinetry elevations, material samples, lighting and plumbing selections, furnishings and photorealistic renderings, giving you a clear way to understand what we’re proposing.

Those drawings help us resolve the relationships between decisions that might otherwise seem unrelated.
In a bathroom, for example, the tile is only one part of the conversation.
We’re considering the vanity, mirrors, lighting, plumbing and material transitions alongside it, so the individual selections support the same design rather than becoming several expensive opinions sharing a room.

Nothing moves into procurement without your approval, and your perspective remains essential as we develop the home. Having a team lead the process should make it easier to participate meaningfully, with the context to understand a decision instead of feeling pressured to make one because somebody needs an answer by lunch.
Full Service Means Managing What Happens After the Design Is Approved
Our team manages ordering, vendor communication, tracking, freight, receiving and inspection, along with the documentation and claims involved when something arrives damaged.
If a piece is delayed or an issue comes up? We work through the next steps and keep the design in mind as we consider a resolution.
It is one of the operational layers clients may never see.
You shouldn’t need to become personally acquainted with every delivery company involved in furnishing your house.
Knowing what’s happening and being responsible for chasing it are very different experiences, and taking that coordination off your plate is a substantial part of our service.

On renovation and construction projects, that coordination also includes collaboration with the architect, builder, cabinetmakers and other professionals involved.
Each brings their own expertise, while we lead the interior design and help communicate the details needed to carry the vision through execution.
By the time we reach installation and styling… we’ve been considering the rooms for months.
Full Service makes sense for substantial projects where you want an experienced team to develop the design and manage its implementation, whether that’s furnishing several connected spaces, transforming a home through renovation or planning interiors alongside construction.
We look at the overall scope and what the project needs, rather than treating room count as the entire conversation.
The best time to bring us in is early, while there’s still room to shape the decisions that will influence everything else.
For construction and renovations, that means before major layouts and selections are finalized.
For furnishings, it gives us time to plan around the lead times of custom pieces and materials.
Having been both the designer and the client in my own home, I understand wanting to feel involved without spending every spare moment thinking about what needs deciding next.
There are choices you’ll care deeply about and others you’ll be very happy to hand over, and getting to know that balance is part of getting to know you.

I want you to enjoy the home long after the installation photos are taken, when the kitchen is busy, the chairs have been pulled out and someone has invited a few more people over than originally discussed.
All the planning, documentation and coordination behind our work is there to support that life, so you can settle into a home that feels like yours and get on with enjoying it.
Our Full-Service Design offering is intended for substantial projects, including whole-home furnishings, large-scale renovations, new construction and multi-room projects.
